Mary  Ashley

Director, Child Development

Mary began teaching young children in 1985, working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. She has worked with parents in a variety of ways, including work with teen parents, gay and lesbian parent support groups, and child abuse prevention programs. She began teaching community college in 1996, designing infant and toddler teacher education program for Red Rocks Community College in Colorado, before coming to Mission.

Fast Facts

In 2007, Mary became a foster parent and then adopted her two young nieces. She is the single mom of four children and, when she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family.
