Specialist III, Child Development

I have been a part of Mission College Child Development Center team since 2003.  I enjoy working at MCCDC because the program has a great diverse group of children, parents and staff.  The program is a Continuity of Care Program (infant to preschool, as an example) with full Inclusion. Every year I transition with my group of children to an older room as they grow.  As a result, I have opportunities to work with children of different abilities and age groups.

I am studying the Reggio Emilia philosophy.  I believe children learn by exploring the environments designed to help them learn and grow.  Eventually, they will develop social, physical and creative skills naturally in a safe and supportive setting.
