Application Procedure
  1. We encourage students to apply for our Intensive English Program and a Mission College degree program at the same time. We put this information on the immigration documents. It is helpful when students apply for a visa because it shows that they have an educational goal.
  2. Because you must include original documents with your application, we do not accept applications that are submitted on-line.
  3. Download our application. It contains detailed information. Complete all areas. If you do not understand something on it, contact our office.
  4. Have your financial sponsor sign Section 5, "Affidavit of Support" on the application. Your sponsor can live in the US or your country. For some countries, it is better to have a sponsor who lives in your country.
  5. If you want dual admission to IIS and Mission College, include your official transcripts, or "detailed marks certificate", from high school and college, if you attended college. If your diploma does not state that you graduated, include your diploma or other proof that you completed the 12 th grade. Your documents must be in English. We accept original documents or certified copies with an original stamp from the translation company. If you wish, we can return the originals to you.
  6. An original bank letter from your sponsor. Your sponsor should have the equivalent of US$16,000 for you to study one year at Mission College. The bank letter should be in English. It must be on original bank paper or have an original bank stamp. You should not send bank statements downloaded from the internet. Your sponsor's money must be in a checking or savings account, not investments.
  7. A deposit of $375 ($425 for DHL). This includes a non-refundable $75 application fee and a refundable $300 space deposit. We will apply the deposit to your tuition. If you do not attend our program for any reason and notify us 14 calendar days before the start of school and return your immigration documents to us, we will refund the space deposit. If you want your documents sent through DHL Express Service, add $50. We accept cashier's (bank) checks, Visa and Mastercard.
  8. A handwritten letter that explains why you want to attend Mission College.
  9. Mail all of these documents together by mail or express service to our office by the deadline if you live outside of the U.S.
