Honors Transfer Project Eligibility

New and Continuing Mission College Student Requirements

  • Completion of ENGL 001A (or equivalent) with a B or better
  • Completion of 9 UC/CSU transferrable units
  • 3.25 GPA


  • A Bachelors Degree or higher with a 3.0 GPA

First-time Freshman Requirements

  • Eligible for ENGL 001A via assessment test, EAP or AP scores
  • 3.5 High School GPA (unweighted)

Participation Requirements

To maintain active membership in the Honors Transfer Project, students must:

  • Maintain 3.25 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Enroll in at least two Honors courses each year
  • Maintain active membership in Alpha Gamma Sigma Honors Society


Honors Scholar Requirements

As a member of the Honors Transfer Project, you have the opportunity to graduate as an Honors Scholar, one of the highest academic awards granted by Mission College. To become an Honors Scholar, HTP students must:

  • Maintain a 3.25 or higher GPA
  • Be an active member in Alpha Gamma Sigma
  • Complete a minimum of 15 units of Honors coursework (three to five courses)
  • Complete COUNS 007H, University Transfer Planning – Honors (strongly recommended)
