Humanities Department

students enjoying campus life

The Humanities department offers a selection of courses that examine a variety of world cultures. We have classes on Hispanic, African-American and Asian cultures as well as courses surveying Western cultural traditions and values. Most of our classes are interdisciplinary in nature and introduce students to the integration of history, art, music, literature, theater, film, philosophy and religion. Students in Humanities classes often take field trips to museums, concerts or theater performances. We provide a liberal education for the well-rounded individual.

Students planning to continue for a four year-year degree should consult the lower division requirements of the transfer program of the university to which they plan to attend.
