Mission College offers two Associate Degrees in Mathematics. 

Associate in Science in Mathematics

Mission College offers an Associate in Science degree in Mathematics to students who successfully complete 29 or more units of course work as outlined below.

Core Curriculum Courses (Required) Units

MATH 3A  Analytic Geometry and Calculus I                      5 units

MATH 3B  Analytic Geometry and Calculus II                     5 units

MATH 4A  Multivariable Calculus                                          4 units

MATH 4B  Differential Equations                                          4 units or
MATH 4C  Linear Algebra                                                      4 units

MATH 10  Elementary Statistics                                           4 units

Select one course from the following: Units

ASTRO 1*   Astronomy                                                           3 units

ASTRO 3*  Astronomy with Lab                                           4  units

BIOSC 10*  Introduction to Biology                                     3 units

CHEM 2*  Introductory Chemistry                                       3 units

PHYS 2A*  General Physics:

Mechanics and Thermodynamics                                      5 units

Plus one of the following: Units

CIS 2 *   Visual Basic.NET                                                  4 units

CIS 37A*  Introduction to C Programming                       4 units

CIS 43*  Software Development With Java                     4 units

ENGR 30*  Introduction to Computing for Engineers   4 units

MATH 19  Discrete Mathematics                                       4 units

* Or a more advanced course in that department
