Taking Political Science classes at Mission is an ideal and fascinating part of acquiring a broad liberal education and, in career terms, the degree is highly versatile pointing the way in many vocational directions. The study of political science involves not only the examination of the structure of government and political systems but the examination of the interaction of individuals and institutions within those systems. Pre-Law Education:

Although no specific course of study is required for admission to Law School, Political Science is an excellent major or minor if you are looking to a legal career. It equips you with the intellectual tools needed for the study and practice of law.

Political Science courses will develop your ability to express concepts clearly, the capacity to read concentrated materials with precision, and the power to reason, weigh facts, and solve problems.
