Telecourses
The library maintains a set of telecourse videotapes and DVDs for students to borrow at the Check Out Desk and view in the library.
The library also serves as the pickup point for students who wish to rent telecourses. Telecourse tapes and DVDs are available for rent, but not purchase, by the student who is enrolled in the course. Students pay $50.00 ($25.00 security deposit and $25 rental fee) per course at the Cashiers Offce and bring the receipt to the library Check Out Desk. There they will be required to sign a Telecourse Rental Agreement before the videos or DVDs are checked out to them.
If students return the videos/DVDs by the due date and in good condition, they will receive a voucher for $25.00 as a refund of they security deposit, which they may redeem at the Chashiers office.
If a student returns the tapes after the due date without prior notification by the instructor (the instructor must call the library and inform us of any student who needs more time to complete the course), the student will forfeit their $25.00 security deposit and will be charged $25.00 for each tape/disc that is damaged or not returned. In the case of video tapes there will be an additional $1.00 fee per tape case not returned or for tapes not rewound.
If a student drops the course withing fourteen (14) days after the rental date, they may receive a full $50.00 refund if they return the videos/DVDs in good condition and present a drop-status verification from the Admissions and Records Office. After the fourteen (14) days they will only be eligible for a $25.00 voucher as a refund of the security deposit.
