What do France, Cambodia, Vietnam and Peru have in common? They are all countries where Mission Community College is offering travel/study opportunities this Fall.

Travel to Vietnam and Cambodia: Meeting four to six time this Fall, students will begin to learn about the history, traditions and rapidly changing life in Vietnam and Cambodia, with travel to both of these countries in January 2009. Through direct contact with the cultures, lifestyles, and religious symbolism, students will develop intercultural understanding of human commonalities and global dependencies. Travel in Cambodia will include Siem Reap, Baon, Angkor Thom, Preah Khan, Ta Prom, Tonle Sap River, Phnom Penh, Cambodia River Palace, Silver Temple and more. Travel in Vietnam will include Nui Sam Fisheries, Muslim Communities, An Giang University, Can Tho floating market, Ho Chi Minh City, the Cathedral, Ben Thanh market, Cu Chi, Cholon and more. Study Abroad in France, Italy and Austria: With five in–class meetings this Fall, students will begin to learn about the culture, history and life in France, Italy and Austria with travel to these three countries in January 2009. Vienna, Salzburg, Venice, Florence, and Paris are on the itinerary for the nine-day trip. Estimated cost is $2,500 – $2,800 per person and includes airfare, hotels, breakfast and dinner daily. Study Abroad in Peru: With travel dates from January 8th to 17th, 2009, students enrolled in this class will tour Peru with visits to Machu Picchu, Lima, Cuzco, Pisac, Ollantaytambo, and the National Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.
