Estimated Spring 2003 CRC Deadlines
Jennifer created a flow chart with the Board meeting date and due dates for
Spring 2003. Since the Board
meeting schedule has not been determined, these dates are an estimate based on
the Board meeting schedule for Spring 2002.
Take Curriculum to May 1st Board Meeting
Board agenda due to Rhoda by April 16th
Board agenda due to President by April 4th
Items must be approved no later than March 24th full CRC meeting
Items must have first read (if necessary) no later than March 10th
full CRC meeting
Items must go through Tech Review no later than March 3rd
Electronic versions must be received by Betty no later than February 12th
Kara expressed concerns about the early deadline to Betty because she feels it
will not be responsive to the needs of the college. It was stated that it was been a burden on Betty to receive
the curriculum so close to the deadline.
Chris shared her idea of creating a flyer and distributing it to all her
full-time constituents explaining the deadlines and asking the division to
bring their curriculum to the division meeting during the flex days. Ray recommended we consider what will
happen when Mission goes to the compressed calendar. It was also suggested the larger division (i.e. CATA) have
two representatives—Anna will bring this up to her division. Betty also asked for the reps to assist
more, this will hopefully alleviate some of the problems. There may be a possibility of changing
a full CRC meeting to a Tech Review meeting if necessary. Jennifer will draft a memo from Alex
with these dates and distribute to all faculty email, SOCs and send to Leah to
distribute to Associate Faculty.
