IMPORTANT MESSAGE
FROM THE
DISTRICT ACADEMIC SENATE
CONCERNING HIRING COMMITTEES AND TENURE REVIEW TEAMS

In an effort to respond to the concerns of faculty relative to hiring committees and tenure review teams, please be advised that at today's District Academic Senate meeting, the Senators agreed to the following:

*  Hiring committees that have already been constituted with scheduled interviews can proceed with the hiring process. 

* Faculty serving on Tenure Review Teams may continue with the observation of faculty under tenure review as part of their contractually required institutional responsibilities.        

Faculty members who are receiving any form of compensation for committee work should continue working on their assignments and all faculty should continue to fulfill their contractually required institutional responsibilities.
