Whether you are definitely planning to transfer, or merely considering the option, the Career/Transfer Center, available to students and the general public, offers an array of services and state-of-the-art resources for establishing career choices and developing transfer goals. We sponsor a variety of workshops and speakers on both career and transfer topics and are equipped with the current reference materials.

Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Program
The Karl S. Pister Leadership Opportunity Program enables outstanding UC-eligible junior-level community college transfer students to complete their undergraduate studies at UC Santa Cruz. The program provides a $20,000 scholarship distributed over two years, individually tailored mentoring and academic support, and assistance in fnding paid or volunteer summer work experience co-sponsored by private- and public-sector employers. Recipients will be selected by the chancellor of UCSC from nominees submitted by the presidents of participating community colleges. One scholarship is available for each college.
