Financial Aid Disbursements
Grant checks are requested every other week as students complete their Financial Aid File.
Spring 2012
1st Major Check Disbursement for Grants 01/30/12 (tentative)
2nd Major Check Disbursement for Grants 04/02/12 (tentative)
Students, who are expecting a 2nd financial aid payment, must be enrolled in a class which starts before October 22nd. Classes beginning later than October 22nd will not be included in the payment but on the next disbursement.

You may also access information on this web site, www.missioncollege.org, for more information, forms, and to ask specific questions. Please use our conveniently located drop boxes in front of Financial Aid and Admissions & Records Offices to submit documents. These submissions will be processed on our next business day.
Mission College offers a variety of federal, state and institutional aid programs to assist students in meeting the costs of their education. Students are encouraged to stop by the Financial Aid Office to obtain information on eligibility requirements and necessary application forms.
By using the services of the Financial Aid Office, I will:
- Learn to identify & access the financial resources necessary to support my educational objectives.
- Demonstrate my ability to successfully complete the financial aid & scholarship applications and, if eligible, receive funding.
- Demonstrate my commitment to receive continued funding by maintaining satisfactory academic progress in my declared program of study and the timely completion of renewal applications.
Key Applicant Eligibility Requirements
The successful financial aid candidate
- is a US citizen or eligible non-citizen,
- declares a program of study leading to a degree, certificate for gainful employment in a recognized occupation or a transfer program leading to bachelor's degree in a four-year institution,
- demonstrates "financial need" by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available from Financial Aid Office,
- is not in default on any educational loan,
- does not owe a refund on any Title IV funds,
- has high school diploma, G.E.D. or demonstrated "ability to benefit",
- meets California residency requirements (for BOG Fee Waiver, Cal Grants B & C, EOP&S)
- maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress
- and meets other requirements as appropriate to individual programs.
